L. Dean Knoll, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Board-certified Urologist

L. Dean Knoll, M.D., F.A.C.S. L. Dean Knoll, M.D., is the Medical Director for both the Center for Urological Treatment and Medical Research Associates of Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Knoll received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School, North Chicago, Illinois. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in urology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

A frequent contributor to the medical press, Dr. Knoll has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters. He has delivered numerous lectures and operated both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Knoll has been a principle investigator in over 110 basic science and clinical trials of new devices and pharmacotherapies for various urological diseases including new devices and pharmacotherapies for the diagnosis and treatment of male erectile dysfunction, male and female urinary incontinence, and benign prostatic hypertrophy.

Dr. Knoll is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Urology. He is also a member of numerous international and nation medical organizations including the American Urologic Association, the International Society of Impotence Research, and the Sexual Medicine of North America.


F. Frank Lohrasbi, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Board-certified Urologist

F. Frank Lohrasbi, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Lohrasbi has been the Chief of Urologic Surgery at Centennial Medical Center for several years. Dr. Lohrasbi received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his Doctorate of Medicine from University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed his general surgery and urologic surgery residencies at The University of Louisville in Kentucky.

Dr. Lohrasbi has been an advocate of minimally invasive surgery for years and as a result has been a pioneer in laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He performed the first robotic surgery in Tennessee in October of 2002 and since then has been a leading expert in robotic surgery and has trained many surgeons from around the world in laparoscopic robotic operations.

Dr. Lohrasbi is also the lead investigator here in Tennessee in an International Interstim Neuromodulation Study for women and men with urinary incontinence and frequency and is currently enrolling patients. This study includes several Centers of Excellence from around the world.

Dr. Lohrasbi is a fellow of The American College of Surgeons and is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology. He and his staff are always available to meet your Urological needs.


Mitchell L. Wiatrak, M.D.
Board-certified Urologist

Mitchell L. Wiatrak, M.D. Dr. Wiatrak attended medical school and completed his urology training at the University of Michigan in 1991. His expertise encompasses all areas of urological dysfunction and disease for both men and women, children, and adults. He has extensive experience in the management of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor prolapse, as well as all urologic related cancers. In addition to the common treatments offered by all general urologists, Dr. Wiatrak has advanced training in robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, cryotherapy for cancer, laser surgery, and neurostimulation implant surgery for incontinence.

Dr. Wiatrak has extensive clinical research experience. He has worked directly with pharmaceutical and device manufacturers to develop research protocols and has served as principal investigator on well over 100 studies.

During his more than 16 years of practice, Dr. Wiatrak has served as medical advisor to several organizations and medical clinics. In addition, he has held numerous leadership positions including Chief of Surgery and Medical Staff President. He has volunteered his time and medical expertise extensively both locally and overseas.


Tara M. Allen, M.D.
Board-certified Urologist

Tara M. Allen, M.D. Tara M. Allen, M.D. is the newest member of our team. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Southern Mississippi followed by her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Mississippi in Jackson. Both her general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency were completed at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.

Dr. Allen's scope of practice includes the urologic disease processes of both women and men although she was drawn to Nashville due to the small number of female urologists in practice in Nashville. She offers laparoscopy, treatment of pelvic floor prolapse and urinary leakage, Interstim® neuromodulation for bladder dysfunction, laser treatment of stones and the prostate, prosthetic surgery for erectile dysfunction and treatment of all cancers of the urinary tract.

Dr. Allen is a member of the American Urological Association, the Society for Women in Urology, the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association, and is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology.
